Introduction

Wow, so much space, so much coffee and so much to write.  Let's start with a quick overview of the resources available to visitors to the Gilkatho website.  The most popular places are:

Coffee News
We see and hear so much different tips and bits about the world of coffee that every few days we post interesting articles into this section.  Topics have ranged from coffee prices, coffee enemas and ever coffee recipes.  For the ultimate CoffeeSnob experience you can also access the Gilkatho News with an RSS Reader.  I see today's article is about Jack Daniel's Coffee, now would that give and cure a headache at the same time?

Coffee Frequently Asked Questions
Although most CoffeeSnobs visitors are already familiar with asking quesitons in an open forum, the Gilkatho FAQS attempts to bring some order to the questions that we receive regarding equipment, supplies, recipes and supplies.  Browse the FAQS to learn about Jura machines or search to look for information.

Until next time, happy drinking.

Wayne

Gilkatho State Finalist in Queensland Training Awards
Reply #4 - Aug 16th, 2009, 8:51pm

Gilkatho has been named as a one of three state finalists in the Queensland Training Awards. The training awards recognise outstanding work in the area of education and training.

Gilkatho employs nine staff, four of whom are currently completing TAFE supported training.

Gilkatho won the regional level of the awards in July, and was named ‘Small Employer of the Year’ for Brisbane North.

Three out of eight regional winners were then selected as state finalists.

Gilkatho are excited to get to the state finals, and we look forward to hearing the stories of the other finalists. The Training Awards state finals will take place in September.

This award recognised the commitment made by staff to their ongoing career development. By taking part in career development training in the workplace staff are able to develop new skills, making the business more productive.

We consider it an honour to be associated with the other state finalists.
“There are so many companies making significant investments in staff training.  For Gilkatho to come this far is already an honour.”

“We simply want to tell the story of the work that our staff are putting in.”

August is 'get some variety in your cup' month at Gilkatho. We're encouraging everyone to try a different blend by profiling those that we sell. First up is Mink

With three varieties in the Mink range, there’s a blend to suit every coffee drinker. Why not give one of these a try in your next order:

Mink Espresso: The single-origin Colombian bean, in a medium to dark roast, is best suited to those who appreciate their coffee without milk. This espresso produces an excellent crema in every cup and is designed with your automatic coffee machine in mind.

Mink Cappuccino: Four-origin beans from Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala and Papua New Guinea; this beautiful medium roast blend will bring your milk-based coffee drinking experience to a whole new level. Designed to complement your automatic coffee machine.

Mink Fair Trade: A single-origin Certified Fair Trade product sourced from Nicaragua, this delicious, organic coffee will make you feel good inside and out. Supplied in an environmentally-friendly bag made from recycled paper, this mild bean, treated to a medium roast is suitable for both black and milk-based drinks. A Gilkatho favourite!

Visit www.gilkatho.com.au to order your Mink coffee beans and get some variety in your cup today!

Many of you will know that during May, we went live with our wonderful, shiny new website at www.gilkatho.com.au. But, did you know that if you register for a customer login, you can easily access and change your billing information, book a service call or order consumables for your machine? All you need to do is set up a login by selecting 'register' from the menu options on the top, right-hand corner of the Gilkatho homepage. Enter your details, click continue and you'll automatically be signed in. If you're an existing Gilkatho customer, call us on 1300 137 620 and we'll give you a password that's linked to your account. From here the 'my account' tab will allow you to easily contact Gilkatho, set your preferences, obtain quotes and much, much more!
